| Located along the River Rába, Sarvar is home to one of the most beautiful museums in the country - the Ferenc Nadasdy Museum. Beginning from the 16th century, this castle served as a fortress and aristocratic family residence. Besides the luxurious furnishings, the special features of the castle are the seventeenth-century frescos depicting battle scenes in the wars against the Turks and an abundant collection of applied art. The town is also famous for its medicinal and leisure baths, and the medicinal water containing mineral salts. |
