Ballina Dating back to the Stone Age, Ballina is a very interesting place to visit because of the numerous tombs (megaliths) found here. The town is home of the famous River Moy, an exceptional source of salmon. The town centre has retained its historic appearance with some notable architecture, including the 15th-century Moyne Abbey, and St Muredach's Cathedral, which is the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Killala.
