The thermal waters, which originate from a spring below the chapel of São João, are used for the treatments of renal problems and rheumatism. The spa centre specializes in the treatment of arteriosclerosis. Nearby there is a beautiful forest protected as a national park, famous for its huge cypress trees of Mexican origin. |
