| Lying on Lake Fryken, Sunne is the center for tourism in Fryksdalen (Fryken Valley or The "land of legend"). Its scenic natural landscape is perfect for outdoor activities. You can hire a canoe, walk or cycle in the nature reserves with their unique flora or play golf. Sunne is a modern ski resort with facilities for both cross-country skiing and alpine skiing including: a ski school, ski rental, a ski shop, sports service, a restaurant and a lodge. There are ten descents that vary in difficulty. Four of them are illuminated and there is a special area for snowboarders. Akka Stadium is the ski stadium and there are several cross country tracks that start here, 6 km of which are illuminated and qualified for World Cup Championships. In Sunne you will also find folk museums, churches and exhibitions of paintings, pottery, glass, textile and sculptures. |
