Designated Natural Heritage of Humanity in 1986 by UNESCO, the Iguassu (Brazil)/Iguazu (Argentina) Falls are a spectacular sight. Shared by two countries, the falls are formed by 275 separate waterfalls, ranging in height from 40 meters to 100 meters and are surrounded by 225 thousand hectares of tropical forests with rare and endangered species of fauna and flora. Plenty of activities are available. The Falls can be visited all year long but extended rain is common in September and October. |

| The Iguazu Falls, two thirds of the falls are within the Argentine limits but it is necessary to explore both sides since there is a very good panoramic view from Brazil. To feel the falls close enough and enjoy the beauty of its vegetation, birds and butterflies, it is essential to walk along the walkways and paths on the Argentine side.

Food and Drink:
The gastronomic variety in Iguazu Falls holds pleasant surprises for tourists. There are 136 food places with varied paces and services. Out of all of these, 56 offer international cuisine. ltalian, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Argentinean and Paraguayan dishes are some examples offered in the city, besides the typical dishes of the Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Hindu cuisine. The diversified Brazilian gastronomy is present to a large extent in most of these restaurants. There are lots of options in terms of dishes from Minas Gerais, Sao Paula, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul (the gaucho barbecue) and the Northem specialties. In many of these restaurants one can taste the Pira de Foz, a typical dish of the region, basically made of the "dourado" fish, found in the Paraná River.

Brazilian Side Water Falls
The Brazilian side of National Iguassu Park deserves a walk of approximately 45 minutes through a sub-tropical forest, reaching the bottom of Salto Floriano. An elevator goes up to the top of the falls. For people staying at Das Cataratas Hotel - the walking tour departs from the hotel.
Argentina Side Falls
The Argentina's side of the National Park provides transportation across the Argentinan border to the Parque Nacional del Iguazu. The view is magnificent, specially on top of "Devil's Throat", reached by little boats led through a water corridor on the edge of the plateau. The river tours take people to San Martin Island, a breathtaking environment.
Macuco Safari by Boat
Visitors are taken through the forest, in a trailer towed by a jeep, for a safe observation of birds, wild animals, and exotic vegetation. After a 2 miles ride, they can have a walk through an old Indian track that ends at the river shore. A specially built boat takes visitors upstream to the nearest possible under the thundering water wall. The return trip is made reversal.
Itaipu Dam
Visit the largest power plant that concentrates12.6 MW in one sole dam. The generating station serves 38% of Brazilian and Paraguayan demand. This impressive civil engineering work was built by Brazil and Paraguay across the Paraná River, taking advantage of a 120 m level difference along the 200 km river course.
Bird Park
While walking through the park and particularly inside the jungle, visitors have the opportunity to observe fascinating bird species.
Folk Show Dinner
Dinner at an intemational restaurant where, after dinner, dancers will perfom a musical show that reflects a mixture of Argentinian, Brazilian and Paraguayan culture.
