Maceio, capital of the State of Alagoas, has a beautiful coast where a strip of in-town beaches and most of the city's tourist-quality hotels and restaurants are concentrated. The prime beaches are Pajucara, Ponta Verde, Jatiuca and Praia de Cruz das Almas. Maceio occupies the tip of a curved peninsula, the ocean beaches on one shore and the freak lagoon - Lagoa do Mundau - on the other immediately to the south of Maceio's downtown area. |

AIR:
Maceio is connected by air with Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia and all the major cities of the Northeast.
BUS:
Buses run daily from Salvador (10 hrs), Rio de Janeiro (36 hrs), Recife (4 hrs), and the main cities of Brasil.

Schooner Trip f/d
Tour by bus to Barra de São Miguel. Cruise starts with a schooner through S. Miguel bay, passing the Island of Three Hearts and the coral banks. Stop for sunbathing at gunga beach. Fruits and drinks will be offered during the trip. Lunch will be optional on the way back, but not included. Duration: 8 hrs
City Tour h/d
Tour through the main tourist spots of Maceio starting with "Lagoa da Anta", Ponta Verde and Pajuçara Beaches. In Downtown, São Gonçalo and Santa Terezinha, Rei Pelé soocer game stadium, Pontal da Barra, the Mundau Lagoon and a handicraft exposition where there will be a short stop for shopping. Duration: 4 hrs
Pajucaras Pool
Ride in raft's Jangada, on a typical small fishingboat from northern Brasil, towards Coral banks of Pajuçaras beach, where you will be able to swim in incredible calm waters. In these pool-like waters you will be able to buy drinks and snacks from floating snack-bars. Duration: 5 hrs
North Beaches f/d
Tour through Jatiuca, Crus das Almas, Jacarecica, Garça-Torta, Guaxuma, Garca Torta, Riacho Doce, Ipioca, Tabuba, Mirante(Belveder) da Sereia and Paripueira beaches. Free time for swimming in Sonho Verde. Duration: 8 hrs
South Beaches f/d
A tour through Frances beach and Barra de São Miguel beach. Visit to Marechal Deodoro, the first State Capital, and its historical monuments, including the house where Marechal Deodoro was born. Free time to swim Duration: 8 hrs
