Highlights:

This is a family -run lodge with a very good casual energy. The rooms are simple, but nice, also comfortable and clean with a great view over the tree canopy.

General Facility Description

Duplooy's is a small jungle lodge that used to be a farm and was cleared by the Duplooy family when it was bought back in 1988. Surrounded by the jungle, the Macal River, sandy beaches and plenty of wildlife. The Duplooy's have beautiful gardens all around the lodge with several thousand plants and trees, which attracts a lot of wildlife from the nearby jungle. Belize Botanic Gardens is adjacent to the lodge, and now have 45 acres of the Duplooy's land, which was dedicated to them. There are many activities to enjoy close by to the lodge including caves, tours, horseback riding, night walks, hikes, bird watching and the gardens.

Room Facility and Description

DuPlooy's offers a variety of rooms to suit everyone. Rooms have porches with hammocks, hot water, ceiling fans and screened windows.

Jungle Lodge Room
Original rooms with private bath, 2 double beds and private screened porches. Sleeps up to 4 people.

Bungalow
Private cottages with king sized bed/queen sofa bed, mini bar, coffee maker, private porch and hammock. Sleeps up to 4 people.

Casita
Two-story house, King sized bed and futon coach upstairs and downstairs, private bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining room, Jacuzzi and a wrap around porch. Sleeps up to 6 people.

Connected Jungle Lodge Room
The regular Jungle Lodge connected to a smaller room, two Queen sized beds,private bathroom, shared porch and private entrances. Sleeps up to 6 people.

Macal Suite
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room and porch.

Mopan Suite
4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private living room and porch.
