The Posada del Inca Sun Island is located atop the island, just above Yumani port.There are two ways to get to the Posada once you are at Sun Island and which will depend on your activities, If you arrive by hydrofoil, you will walk up 205 steps to the fountain and then 18 zigs & zags to the Posada or If you visit Pilcocaina Ruins first, then it is an easy walk along terraces for about 30 minutes.Either way, you don't carry your luggage - it's taken care of by the staff.There is a living room with small bar and fireplace and a dining room with fireplace.Service at the Posada is a mix of locals with staff imported from the Hotel Inca Utama. It is attentive, friendly service.The Posada also has a terrace with superb views of the Lake, great for sitting and admiring the surrounding natural beauty. The local community is working with them on the preservation of the native archeological sites, and their traditions.This is a great option for those seeking adventure with comfort.
