Amazon Eco Park Lodge is a touristic, scientific and educational property, created and directed by the private initiative. It has been established since 1991 and as a Lodge since 1995. Located in Rio Taruma - a tributary of Rio Negro-approximately one hour from Manaus airport, in the middle of the Amazon Forest. It includes uncatalogued species in virgin rainforest, natural savannahs and creeks. Several streams of crystal clear warm water run through the area. Over 6 miles of jungle trails enable the client to explore the jungle, orchids and giant trees.It is located in an area of dense primary forest and also close to a monkey jungle, which is unique in the region. The EcoPark is known for its unique and pioneer course of survival in the rainforest: bilingual guides with ample knowledge of the area will teach you how and where to find edible fruits and potable water, learn first aid, to build a shelter, to make bridges of ropes, to find your way in the forest and so much more. There is a bar, living room and reception lobby in addition to two large thatched roof areas perfect for private parties or meetings. The Lodge has a panoramic open-air restaurant with Indian style architecture and specializing in regional cuisine. Amazon EcoPark also offers a variety of excursions to experience the mystery and magic of the jungle, including piranha fishing, forest hikes, bird watching, excursions by motor launch and night time 'Alligator spotting'.

The lodge offers 60 apartments in 20 bungalows (3 each), made of wood. The apartments entrance, porch and bathroom are completely independent, are all air-conditioned, with hot shower and screened windows. The rooms are in perfect harmony with nature and have all the comforts of a home in the most exotic setting. Rustic, but charmingly decorated with lamp shade, rugs, indian style artifacts, etc.
