Playa Samara, is a pretty beach on a long, horseshoe-shaped bay. The water here is excellent for swimming, as the offshore island and rocky headlands break up most of surf. Playa Nosara actually refers to several beaches that are mostly deserted. The village of Nosara is located several miles from the beach, and the land near the beach has turned into a large spread-out resort community.
