Quepos boasts one of Costa Rica's most beautiful national parks, Manuel Antonio. The park runs along spectacular white-sand beaches, with large stony islands off the shore serving as sanctuaries to several species of marine birds. A thick tropical jungle runs along the beaches. For active travelers, sportfishing, sea kayaking, snorkeling, river rafting, jungle trekking, and birding at Manuel Antonio are all available. It can be reached by road or by regular air service from San Jose. |

| Mountains and beach, all in one. If you have four or five days and you want to experience mountains and beaches, Quepos is your destination. Most of the hotels are on the mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio National Park.

Parador Hotel: is a self-contained luxury boutique hotel; the Premiums rooms are very private, with incredible views. Also recommended are the suites.
Mansion Inn: One of the best properties in the area, great for honeymooners.
Makanda By the Sea: For those couples looking for something out of the ordinary, total contact with nature and ocean breezes.
FAMILIES:
Villas Si Como No: This is a fun hotel with great food, swimming pools, a nice balance of comfort and nature. Good choice for families with teenagers.
Casitas Eclipse: For nature lovers, and birdwatchers. This hotel sits on the edge of Manuel Antonio Park with great service. |
