This Spanish Style Mansion, is a cozy and lavishly decorated establishment (originally built as a private residence), which has been beautifully restored and comfortably furnished as a small hotel. Built in 1941, the house retains its original structure and design featuring high ceilings, inner archways, chimneys and original Portuguese tile floors with bright tropical flowers. The house was redecorated by the daughter of its original owner, Amalia Jimenez Volio, an artist who grew up in the house. She added a cheerful tropical touch to the house`s colonial sobriety, filling its inner courtyards with colorful, modern furniture, typical Costa Rican crafts and paintings of her own, featuring mostly tropical flower motifs. Also she painted a colorful ecological mural separating it from the property next door that makes it easy to find.

With 10 lavishly decorated rooms with private bathroom and hair dryer in each bathroom. Seven rooms are single with a queen-sized bed, and three deluxe rooms have two or three queen-sized beds.
