Meals
One of the pleasures of staying at Yachana Lodge is the food prepared by the specially trained local cooks. You will have the opportunity to taste local foods prepared traditionally as well as western foods. You'll have to taste the excellent soups (an Ecuadorian specialty), homemade breads and freshly squeezed juices. The meals are primarily vegetarian with chicken or fish being served occasionally. Get a taste of the Amazon!

Electric Energy
Energy consumed in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, cabins, dining room, and conference room is provided by solar power. Kerosene lanterns are used along the walkways.

Water
The water comes from natural springs and is purified for use in food preparation and in all other areas of the lodge. The water is pure and can be used directly from the taps in the rooms.

Conference Room
The meeting room, located on the second floor, has solar powered lights so that you can read or meet comfortably in the evenings. Guests are welcome to sign out books from the library. The area contains a library, chairs, white board, and balcony with a magnificent view overlooking the river.

Documentary Videos
The video library includes films dealing permaculture, ceramic artesanía in the Amazon, and the community developmental work of FUNEDESIN.

Gift Shop
The gift shop contains a variety of local artisanry and handicrafts, ceramics, T-shirts, hats, jams, and coffee mugs, as well as basic supplies such as insect repellent and toothpaste. Shop hours are posted on the door of the shop.

Bar
The bar offers beer, wine, soft drinks, and mineral water (additional cost).
