The M/V Galapagos Explorer II was built in 1990 and is a 293.14 feet Ocean-going cruise ship. Navigating the Galapagos Islands at a speed of 17 knots, the cruise enables passengers to see more of Galapagos in less time. The ship also provides all the facilities and services to make the cruise enjoyable and comfortable.
Features aboard include Jacuzzi, solarium, spacious dining room, 24-hour self service Coffee Station, an electronic elevator, large conference room, lounge, and three bar areas with music, boutique and reading room. Six naturalist guides aboard lead daily shore excursions and offer nightly briefings to prepare passengers for the islands to be visited the next day. Dining aboard consists of both international and Ecuadorian specialties.
The Galapagos Explorer II is fully equipped to minimize possible impacts on the Archipelago All soaps, detergents and shampoos used on board are biodegradable Black and grey waters are treated appropriately.The residual water is filtered and purified with ozone. Water is produced on board utilizing a desalinisation plant by reverse osmosis.

Room Facility and Description
No matter which accommodation you choose, you will find yourself seduced by the Galapagos Explorer II`s luxury. Classic lines, rich paneling, full-length wardrobes, marble baths, televisions with VCR's, and refrigerators all combine to make this a sumptuous home away from home.
The ship has a capacity for 105 passengers, but due to the National park regulations, it only carries 100 passengers. It has 50 air conditioned outside suites, each one with private bathroom and a small sitting area. All exterior suites, no cabins on board, and, most important, all Suites have the same look, the difference in the price is the deck were the Suite is located. All have convertible double beds and an extra sofa bed for triple configurations. Amenities in every Suite include TV, VHS, mini bar, and sitting area, walking closets in some cases, panoramic windows, portholes only in the Magellan Deck.
CHILDREN POLICY:
-Children under 7 years of age are not allowed.
-One child from 7 to 11 years old pay 50% of the regular rate, sharing the suite
with parents.
