Information about this itinerary:
Placencia Beach (6 Hotels options in Placencia Beach)
The narrow peninsula of Placencia slithers down the southern coast of Belize like a snake. The eastern shoreline is 15 miles of continuous white sand beach. On the western side, a finger-shaped lagoon separates the peninsula from mainland Belize. Placencia village is a Creole fishing village with a laid-back attitude. Other charming villages are the Creole Independence, and the Garifuna Seine Bright.

Mountain Pine Jungle Lodges (3 Hotels options in Mountain Pine Jungle Lodges)
Located in the Cayo District, not far from San Ignacio, this natural reserve is comprised of 300 square miles of forest reserve. It is home to the Hidden Valley Falls (1,000 Foot Falls), the Rio On River, the Rio Pools, and the Rio Frio Cave and Nature Trail, as well as numerous small streams and waterfalls. The park offers a picturesque drive to those heading for Caracol.

Flores - Tikal (5 Hotels options in Flores - Tikal)
The Peten is an area of exuberant tropical jungles teeming with wildlife, deep forests and dry plains dotted with lakes and Maya cities. There are three reasons why travelers would want to penetrate the forests of El Peten: first to visit Tikal, the greatest Maya religious center yet discovered; second to enjoy the great variety of birdlife; and third to see the Guatemala of small farming villages and jungle hamlets, without paved roads or colonial architecture.

Guatemala City (4 Hotels options in Guatemala City)
The capital of Guatemala is the largest city in Central America. Founded in 1776, the city is a blend of modern sleek glass skyscrapers and colonial architecture. Its main tourist attraction is the Historic Center where you will find the Central Market, the National Palace, and colonial churches dating from the 17th century. The Ixchel museum is worth a visit. The tourist area is known as Zona Viva and includes most of the fancy hotels, restaurants, shops, and nightlife spots.
