This architectural jewel is newly restored, recovering the majesty and splendor of its heyday and today housing Granada?s finest hotel. The two-story colonial building is where La Gran Francia has its restaurant, El Arcangel; an open-air lounge, El Balcon, a pub called La Bartolina; and an elegant banquet hall named after Granada's most famous poet, Pablo Antonio Cuadra. This elegant hall seats 100 people and is ideal for weddings, conferences, private lunches, seminars and other events.
On the other side of the narrow, cobblestone street is La Gran Francia's two-story neo-classical-style hotel built furing the late 1800's. It offers 21 air-conditioned rooms, decorated as closely as possible to the original Spanish colonial style of the first settlers. It also has modern comforts and amenities, including a long pool surrounded by greenery.
