Was a major Maya ceremonial centre.
Its Late Pre-Classic temples and two separate ball courts display
fine examples of Maya craftsmanship, suggesting this site was a

by 800 AD, the site consists of 34 structures on two acres. Located
on a hill overlooking San Ignacio. A New visitor's center contains
artifacts and a reconstructed model of the site. Opens Mon.-Sat. Additional US$2.50 required to enter the museum.

you around and answer your questions. Tours last 45-60 minutes.
Getting There, takes a twenty to thirty minute uphill walk from
downtown San Ignacio. Cabs charge around US$7.50 round-trip. |
